“Capone uses 3D animation and motion capture to bestow an awkward semblance of life onto a pair of digitally generated nude male bodies that inhabit a creaky peep show stage. Inspired by haunted house animatronics, these eerie characters evoke adolescent homoerotic sexual anxiety and the narcissistic fantasy of dancing awkwardly alone to one’s personal ‘inner soundtrack.”
