A duet of shapeshifting heads floating in an abstract virtual space (one part Matrix, two parts Max Headroom) jazzily recites a litany of nonsensical A.I.-generated texts, spam email contents, and fragmentary “word heaps” — a phrase adapted from Renata Adler’s 1976 cult novel Speedboat.
